threadmark/ ↳ manifest.jsonIn Edge, go to edge://extensions. In Chrome, chrome://extensions. Turn on Developer mode in the corner.
edge://extensions → Developer modeClick Load unpacked and select the unzipped folder — the one containing manifest.json, not its parent.
Load unpacked → select threadmark/Pin Threadmark to the toolbar, open a supported chat, and click the icon. Press Alt+Shift+E to export or Alt+Shift+R to open the Recorder.
Alt+Shift+E → export · Alt+Shift+R → recorderA store listing is in review. The beta is distributed directly so the exporter can be tested against real conversations without a six-week review cycle. Loading an unpacked extension is a standard Chromium workflow; it does not disable any browser security, and you can remove the extension at any time from the same page.

| Recorder | Append/insert needs a local file target, chosen once with the browser’s File System Access picker. Markdown, text and HTML support append/insert; JSON and CSV are new-file only. |
| Local site | Generated from the library as a static ZIP. Open index.html directly; no server is needed. |
| Updates | Manual in the beta: download the new ZIP and click Reload on the extensions page. Your library and settings are preserved. |
Check the address: the supported hosts are chatgpt.com, claude.ai, gemini.google.com, copilot.microsoft.com, perplexity.ai, chat.deepseek.com, grok.com, poe.com, chat.mistral.ai, kimi.com and doubao.com. For any other page, use “Try generic export”.
The floating button requires per-site access. Open the popup, enable access, then reload the tab. You can also turn the button off entirely in Settings → Interface.
Keep the batch tab open while it runs. Each chat opens in a background tab; if the site shows a consent wall or an expired session, that chat fails and is listed at the end. Re-run just those chats.
Append/insert need a target: open the Recorder, choose a file once and grant write access. The chat tab must stay open. If the Recorder tab was closed, queued records are written when you reopen it; the library copy is saved either way.
Chrome’s print dialog controls page numbers under “More settings → Headers and footers”. The document itself is styled for A4 with generous margins.
This is a beta. If an adapter breaks after a site redesign, the most useful report includes the platform, the URL shape, and whether the generic export still works. Use the delivery channel you received this build through — no account or email is collected by the extension.
